A presentation on the Washington Marine Spatial Plan (MSP) and question and answer panel discussion with stakeholder representatives will be the focus of an event on May 4th hosted by Surfrider Foundation and the NOAA Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary.

Thursday, May 4th 6-7:30pm

Landing Mall Conference Room on 2nd Floor 115 East Railroad Ave, Port Angeles

The State of Washington has been leading an effort to develop a marine spatial plan for the outer coast over the past few years and the plan is nearing completion. You can check out the preliminary draft of the plan that is expected to be updated and then released for public review and comment in mid-May.

The event will feature a presentation from Jennifer Hennessey, Ocean Policy Lead with the Washington Dept. of Ecology, with an overview of the planning process, what the plan includes and means for informing future management of the Washington Coast, and how the public can engage in the review of the plan. Following the presentation, there will be a moderated panel discussion including stakeholder representatives who have been involved in the planning process.

We hope to see you for this event on May 4th! Please feel free to download and share the flyer: flyer_MarineSpatialPlanPAevent_2017
