Get stoked - Washington Coastal Cleanup Day draws nigh!

It's officially Earth Month, and you know what that means - an excessive number of environmental events in the works! (For the record - every month is earth month at Surfrider...)

Every year, chapters across the state participate in Washington Coastal Cleanup Day, our annual coastwide cleanup event that coincides with Earth Day (well, the weekend closest to Earth Day). Our amazing partners at Washington Coastavers work to coordinate cleanups all up and down the outer coast and Olympic Peninsula, led by local organizations and groups dedicated to keeping their beaches beautiful. Below is a list of cleanups happening in our chapter network. For other cleanup locations along the coast, head to Coastsaver's registration page!

Northwest Straits Chapter is collaborating with REsources for a cleanup at the I&J Waterway in Bellingham. Register here. Also, check out their board swap on April 13th and maybe come home with a new ride to add to the quiver!

Seattle Chapter is collaborating with Environment Washington and other partners at the Plastic Free WA Coalition to host a cleanup at Golden Gardens. Register here

South Sound Chapter is collaborating with partners at Zero Waste Washington, Tacoma Parks, and the Rotary Club for a massive joint cleanup on Point Defiance, which will include all sorts of fun activities as well as robust trash survey. Register here! Weekend already too full of other earth loving events? South Sound has your back - they're partnering with Ikkatsu Project for a Sunday, April 14th Tacoma Shoreline Survey

Olympia Chapter is doubling down this Earth Day. On Saturday, they'll be at their usual spot at Twin Harbors State Park (register here through Coastsavers), and will also have a downtown butt pickup on Monday, April 22nd (register here)!

Olympic Peninsula Chapter will be at Hobuck in partnership with the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary (register here through Coastsavers)!

Grays Harbor Chapter is also doubling down and hosting two locations in Ocean Shores. Register here!

If you're not in Washington, you can head to volunteer.surfrider.org to look for a cleanup near you!
