Plastics Dominate Debris on State's Coastal Beaches

Written by Casey Dennehy | Apr 13, 2016 4:26:47 PM

Good article today in the Seattle Times highlighting the amount of plastic debris on coastal beaches. This has been a particularly bad year as the extra stormy winter has pushed a lot of debris ashore, much of it plastic and chunks of foam. You can see the slurry in this pic recently taken at Westport.

Help us protect our coastal beaches by joining the Washington Coast Cleanup on April 23rd! And don't forget to use your reusable shopping bags, support businesses that minimize their use of foam and plasticware, and ditch your bottled water for a cool Klean Kanteen.
